Following the latest advice from the Government and our governing bodies we are now required to hold information on the people who have attended our club. In response to these guidelines, ClubSpark (the provider of our website and court booking system) has developed the platform so that sporting clubs can now capture details of who has played at the club. They have also developed new functionality to facilitate online payment of guest fees at members’ clubs like ours.

These updated ClubSpark group booking features have now been switched on for HRC and are active for courts booked via the website. In order for the club to be compliant with track and trace requirements we require all members and parent/guardians of junior members to book courts through the website and to add details of the people who will be playing on the court.

Unfortunately this functionality does not currently work with the Booker app and so this should not be used until further notice. As soon as we have news from the technical support team that the group booking feature is available for the Booker app we will let you know.

The steps for making a booking are now as follows:

1. Login to the Harrogate Racquets Club website hosted by ClubSpark (as noted above, please do not use the Booker app).
2. Parent/guardians need to click the drop down menu in the top right hand corner and click the name of the junior.
3. Go to the court booking page and select the start time for the booking and the duration of the booking.
4. You will notice that you can now add a participant, click on the ‘+’ sign and fill in the details of the first person and click ‘save’.
5. Now click on the drop down arrow to select whether the person is a member or a guest (please note that guests are not currently permitted in the table tennis section).
6. Repeat this process for each person playing up to a maximum of 4 people.
7. Once all names have been added click ‘continue booking’.
8. The booking details will be summarised.
9. If all participants are members then the fee will be £0 and you click confirm booking and the process is complete.
10. If you have guests attending then there will be a fee to pay via credit card before the booking can be confirmed. Please see below for further details on the level of guest fees.
11. Check the fee and enter your card details then click ‘pay’.
12. Your booking will be confirmed.
