Week 2 of our squads’ endeavours and this is how it panned out ….

Mixed  (Each squad consists of 3 pairs who play 9 rubbers in total, each of 12 games  (total 108)).

1st Squad  beat Starbeck 79-29 and sit top of Division 1

2nd Squad lost to David Lloyd Harrogate 41-67 and sit 6th in Division 1

3rd Squad lost to Starbeck A 47-61 and sit third in Division 3

4th Squad lost to Starbeck B 51-57 and sit third in Division 5

Men (here the rubber scores are added up with the winner getting 3 extra points)

1st squad lost to Poppleton 9.5 -2.5 and sit 4th in division 1 of the York and District league

No Ladies or Mens 2nd  squad matches this week.

Overall, the squads are settling in well with lots of support for which we are grateful. Again, we could always do with more ladies in the squads. Keep your eyes and ears open.
