What a wonderful day we had on July 1st, our annual open day. From 1 o'clock when our doors opened to non members we were packed to the rafters. It was wonderful to meet so many new people, lots said they didn't even know we were there!

In the badminton hall we had mini coahing sessions for all ages. Denis and his team demonstrated some fanastic speed play which was great to watch. We had a guest appearance by the Black Knight feeder!! The shuttlecocks were shooting out at increadible speeds.

In the table tennis arena we had several of our team members introducing young and old to the great game of table tennis. A number of parents said they hadn't played in years and were really enjoying playing again. We had our robot in action which bought a smile to many faces as the balls shot out at amazing angles. We did end up in giggles on a number of occassions. Sarah & her team came to our rescue and demonstarted, with fantastic skills how to beat the robot! 

Tennis was very popular too. Mark and his team had mini nets in every possible space across all 3 courts. We had several mini group lessons going on introducing youngsters to the game. Cardio tennis featured during the afternoon demonstrating that you dont need to be able to play to join in and its great fun and fitness (who needs a gym!!)
