Saturday the 3rd February Harrogate Racquets Club was delighted to hold its first junior badminton tournament for the 12 and under age group. 

The club has a thriving junior section with coaching sessions run 5 out of 7 nights a week. The only thing that has been missing was the opportunity to bring the youngsters together to practise everything they have been learning in a real competitive environment. 

14 juniors entered playing both singles and doubles. 

The winners were Singles : Warren Yen , runner up Tom Mills Doubles : Adam Hawkins & Sol Kirk.

The afternoon was throughly enjoyable from both the players perspective and the parents  (as they watched from both the court side and our bar area via our high resolution flat screen streaming)
