Cardio Tennis

Last week saw the arrival of our first cardio tennis tennis session and it was fantastic! 

Cardio Tennis (for those that are not sure what it is )is a high energy fitness that combines the best features of the sport of tennis with cardiovascular exercise, delivering the ultimate, full body, calorie burning aerobic workout. Most women can burn 300 to 500 calories per hour and men burn between 500 to 1,000.

There was 12 of us on the first session and my goodness did we pump our hearts. Our heart rates were kept up high for 50 minutes! I can confirm that I burnt 485 calories...( check out those christmas presents... fit bits and apple watches....)

It was so good to do exercise that is fun, to music...out doors and not be pounding the streets or confinded to an unpleasant gym. If you would like to join us next week Wednesday 11-12noon then please do get in touch. Members and non members are welcome - £5 per session paid on the day.
