On April 18th Harrogate Racquets Club formally thanked George Chan for his 14 years of coaching table tennis to adults and juniors at the Club.  Former and past juniors gathered to celebrate the amazing coach and role model that George has been. He has nurtured and inspired youngsters and adults to learn new skills and enjoy table tennis at all levels including County and National.

Sarah Jackson, Chair of Table Tennis said “It has been wonderful to have so many youngsters given opportunities to develop skills that will be with them for life. No matter where they end up in the world, there will always be a table tennis table and a way to make new friends, thanks to George and Harrogate Racquets”.

The evening culminated with a ‘Round the World’ table tennis game – what a laugh! “Again” was the refrain from the former juniors!

Racquets table tennis coaching programmes continue with the introduction of two experienced coaches, Mark and Bob.
