Hemyock Tennis Club  members (Karen, Suzy, Malcolm & Bob) made the journey over to Chulmleigh on Sunday 7th April  to take part in the CTC invitation tournament where we had had been entered into the mixed doubles event.

The  weather was reasonably kind, dry at least, but a bit of a cool draught on their exposed courts.

An unusual tournament  "tie-break" style format was used with 10 minutes play per match,  one serve only, then serve passes to the  diagonally opposite player, add up the points when time is up.  Keep this score going forward to the next matches and largest score wins.

Congratulations to Malcolm and Karen who ran out worthy mixed double winners.

Malcolm stood in for an absent mens doubles player and won that too!
