We are very sad to be having to say farewell to two of our hugely popular coaches, Rick and Marla, as they depart for pastures new.

Rick has worked at the club for seven years, helping to grow both the junior and adult programmes to record levels and keeping us all entertained on and off court. Rick has been given an exciting opportunity to be head coach of a new padel club and we wish him every success.

Marla has gone from junior star to a massive asset to our coaching team, focusing in particular on introducing girls to tennis. Marla is heading to university in the US on a tennis scholarship and we could not be more proud of her.

Members gathered at the club on Saturday for a farewell bash, and we very much hope that we will see Rick and Marla back among their Holcombe Brook family in the not too distant future.

We are delighted, meanwhile, to welcome A team player Lewis Tinsley to the coaching ranks from next month, with the programme busier than ever and exciting times ahead.
