Each year we award the Deirdre Lawton Cup to an individual for their commitment and personal development in tennis, sportsmanship and enthusiasm to help others, and who has made an outstanding overall contribution.

Last week, we were delighted to present the cup to Marianne, who all of the team agree was a worthy winner!

Marianne brings such joy onto court, whether that’s as a player during coaching sessions, or as Young Leader, volunteering with our mini players.

She has also shown a great improvement in her own tennis; a testament to the time, commitment and effort she puts in.

Marianne is also aiming to complete her Level 1 LTA Assistant Qualification in the near future.

We are so proud to have her as part of our wonderful tennis community.
