Hythe LTC chose the Kent Kidney Patients Association as their nominated charity for 2021/22 and the £820 raised for this local charity is going towards the ‘Team Kent’ tracksuits for The Transplant Games in Leeds, 28 – 31 July 2022 and we wish the team the very best of luck in all the events they enter.
Established in 1986, KKPA is a non-profit charity, run by kidney patient volunteers, providing financial support, guidance and access to further information and resources for kidney patients in Kent.
The Transplant Games aim to demonstrate the benefits of transplantation, encouraging patients to regain fitness, whilst increasing public awareness of the need for more people to join the NHS Organ Donation Register and discuss their wishes with their families. They are also a way to thank and celebrate donor families and the gift of LIFE!
