Meet the Team

Programme Director and Head Coach

LTA Level 3 licensed club coach/PTR associate instructor

I am originally from Lancashire and moved to Wales to study sport and physical education in University of Wales Institute, Cardiff. I received a 2.1 honours degree and went on to qualify as a tennis coach.

Following my degree, for 3 years I worked as a full time coach at XL tennis academy, UWIC, Cardiff, gaining experience and achieving success coaching junior players.  During this time, I worked with the top juniors in the country which has developed my skills coaching in the performance environment.

In September 2010 I moved to both Usk and Cwmbran Tennis club where I took the position of Mini Tennis coach and developed a performance program for under tens.  I worked hard to improve standards and develop players, and achieved success in regional and county tour events with several players. I thoroughly enjoyed coaching at both clubs, not only getting to know the youngsters and parents in mini tennis, but also working with older teenagers and adults.

It was in 2011 I took on the head coach position at Cwmbran Tennis Club and built a successful club program concentrating on both performance and development. I spent two years growing the program and introducing new ideas to keep it moving in the right direction.

In 2013 I took time out to start a family of my own and I now have two children, aged 5 and 2. I am very excited to be starting a new chapter in my coaching career and look forward to growing my new business, Little Hitters, which will be based in Panteg Park, Pontypool.
