What can you expect?
At the Red stage, children practice to serve (with an overarm throw) rally, and learn to play points. Coaches will help children to develop adaptive skills, coordination, balance & speed. Through basic instruction, children continue to prepare for the game ahead.
Notes from the coach
Join the WPTA coaching team in Wimbledon Park for our LTA Youth series of coaching. These courses are aimed at players aged 4-11yrs and have a carefully designed progression of coaching classes that cover different age groups and ability levels. LTA Youth Red is aimed at players aged 6-8 years and focuses on developing on court skills and movement using larger balls and smaller court space. The classes are all run by highly qualified coaches who have been specifically trained to deliver LTA Youth classes. WPTA is a highly respected local tennis coaching service that has been helping young players develop their skills on court for several years.
