Llantrisant ladies' 4-2 win over Penarth at the weekend means the team are just two wins away from promotion this season.

Captain Cath Lee insisted on a pre match warm up, which seems to have done the trick.

Cath, along with parter Sara Gajraj, won their matches against Penarth's 1st and 3rd pairs comfortably, and Llantrisant's 1st pair, Julia Geyson-Holley and Lynda Civil helped to claim victory, winning their matches 7-6, 7-5 and 6-1, 6-4. A third pair made up of Rhian Bosanko and Shan Llewellyn couldn't sneak another win, but Llantrisant had done enough.

After the game a team selfie was definitely in order, as well as a few glasses of celebratory Prosecco at Lynda's house.

The ladies' final matches include Monmouth away on Saturday, 25 June and Pentyrch at home on Wednesday, 29 June. Come along at 7pm to support the team!
