Dear all, the summer is well underway now and I am sure you are loving the great tennis weather!

COACHING

The beginners group is well underway on Monday mornings at 11.00am, thanks to James and the junior coaching on Wednesday afternoons at 4.30pm has really expanded to a delightful extent. Well done to all the coaches.

EVENTS

On 6th May and 11th May, we had 2 very successful tournaments run by Sue Gardiner brilliantly, as ever. The 6th May was a mixed tournament; the overall winner was new member Ryan Freestone, with Sue Gardiner in the ladies first place.

The Ladies tournament on 11th May was won by Helen Bradshaw, congratulations to the winners and all players, there was some great tennis played on both days.

UPCOMING EVENTS

We have two tournaments coming up – a Ladies American tournament in the morning of Friday 14th September and a Mixed Doubles in the afternoon on Sunday 16th September. Please do book your place for these events - contact Sue Gardiner at gardiner.s@me.com

1st July. We are joining the village to celebrate their fete with a GREAT BRITISH TENNIS DAY at the courts. The fete will be open from 11.00am to 4.30pm, with food, drink and stalls all available. We are encouraging people to come and have a try at hitting a ball, so if any members would like to join us on the day, you would be most welcome for a day of fun filled events.

SUMMER CAMP FOR JUNIORS – 30th/31st July

Details on this camp will be circulated soon and will also be on the website and notice board for information at the club. This camp is also open to non members, so please do let your friends and neighbours know about this great opportunity for junior tennis players.
