Name: Carlos Caldeira

Carlos is a LTA Level 4 qualified coach with over 30 years of tennis coaching experience, having worked with a number of county and national players.

Carlos has worked extensively as a coach working hard at the grass roots end of the sport. This has taught him what works and what doesn't. He believes in quality beyond what can be measured, yet also in delivering measurable skills development.

Coaching Philosophy:

"My goal is not to produce world class players. My goal is to turn out well rounded players that love playing tennis in a club environment and if they play for their school, university, work or local club, I have done my job!

I  give students the opportunity to play in a non-judgemental environment based on having fun and having a balanced approach to sport and life”.

• Cardio Tennis.
• First Aid & Safeguarding.
• He delivers various coaching sessions for juniors and adults such as LTA Youth programmes, Tennis Xpress, Cardio Tennis and Disability Tennis.
• Carlos is currently the lead coach on the North Tyneside Tennis for Free programme.

• Cornish Times Senior Sports Personality of the Year.
• Managed Cornwall Boys under 14's squad.
• Coached under 18's County Squad at ECTC.
• Managed Devon Girls U12 Squad.
• Carlos was instrumental in Callington Community College being awarded LTA Sports College of the Year.
• He has twice been awarded LTA County Coach of the Year.

About me: I have been a member of Beverley Park LTC since I was 6 years old. During that time, I have represented the club by playing for the junior and adult teams. I have been coaching tennis at Beverley Park LTC for the last 15 years delivering a variety of sessions for juniors and adults. I’m also the current Vice Chairman of the club and the men’s first team captain. I am very passionate about the sport and I believe the club is an inclusive venue where all ages and abilities are welcome to play the game, we all love!

About me: I have been playing tennis for 20 years and during that time I have played at several different levels. I have been part of Beverley Park LTC for 11 years winning over 14 club championships. I’m currently on the men’s first team and part of the committee team. I love the sport and I’m passionate about everyone enjoying tennis and developing to the best of their ability with my knowledge and guidance.

About me: Emily is the newest member of the team. A trained teacher and athletics coach, Emily is mainly involved with the school coaching programme. Her two children attend LTA Youth at Beverley Park LTC and Emily can be seen helping on a Saturday morning and at Walking Tennis sessions during the week.
