Wimbledon Draw

The All England Club has stated that a decision regarding this year's Wimbledon event is to be made next week.  This will bring certainties about whether or not to postpone or even cancel the event due to the Coronavirus crisis.

The Wimbledon fortnight is due to take place between 29th June and 12th July.  Building the site is due to begin at the end of April, but this will not be possible without significant numbers of people on site.  40,000 people are also expected to visit every day during the Wimbledon fortnight, and with public health in mind, and added strain on the health system, holding the event in 2020 may not be feasible.

Consequently, we are unable to run Park TC’s Wimbledon draw until the All England Club has made its decision.  As soon as we have that decision, we will let you know the outcome.

In the meantime, the All England Club has stated, ‘The single most important consideration is one of public health, and we are determined to act responsibly through the decisions we make.’
