Wirral Tennis League Winter Season 2020-21
Dear PLTC Member
As many of you will have heard, the Wirral Tennis League Winter League for the 2020-21 season is confirmed as going ahead. Commencing at the end of September, the league runs through until early April 2021, and due to its popularity we are delighted to announce that we have registered an additional men's team and an additional ladies' team for the 2020-21 season. Matches are played on Sunday mornings starting at 10.00 am, so please be aware that a number of courts will be unavailable to book during these times.
The current LTA guidelines state that organised tennis activity for larger competitions is permitted by the government as an exception to the “Rule of 6”, and so can continue. However, players are reminded that before, in between and after matches all players should remain outside of the Clubhouse (unless using the toilet facilities) and should observe social distancing guidelines at all times. Our Track and Trace protocol will also be in place and managed by the Team Captains.
Currently, in-line with local restrictions for the clubs in Merseyside, spectating should not take place at tennis activity. Supervision however, can continue, and if a parent/guardian attendance is required, it is permitted, but should be off court and limited to one per player where possible.
LADIES TEAM CAPTAINS
A & B Teams - Sue Edwards
C & D Teams - Brenda White
MENS TEAM CAPTAINS

If you are asked to play, could you please response as quickly as possible so that captains can organise their teams.
MATCH FEES

REFRESHMENTS
Due to COVID restrictions players must take their own refreshments with them to matches and Clubhouses should will only be open for toilet facilities.
COVID-19 - We will ensure our venue continues to be COVID Secure, and adapt as necessary to recognised advice and guidance.
