Charity Tennis Marathon: 7 August: Volunteer Players Wanted

On Sunday 7th August, we are hosting a Charity Tennis Marathon event at Shinfield Tennis Club, to raise funds for Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Whilst we'd welcome the contribution of some funds, we'd also like members who have an hour or so free on that day, to get involved.

One of our newest members, Michela Piras, has volunteered to be the main player on the day.  Michela hopes to play tennis from 9am to 5pm.  Hence, we would be very interested in finding some volunteers for doubles, singles, or just a gentle hit for 30 minutes or so, to help Michela complete the task.

The slots we are looking to fill are:

9am – 10am

10am – 11am

11am – 12am

2pm – 3pm

3pm – 4pm

4pm – 5pm

So, if you have some time on Sunday, 7 August, please let us know.

email: coaches@shinfieldtennisclub.co.uk

Even if you don't want to take part, please come along to add your support, especially towards the end of the day when feet, arms, overall energy and enthusiasm will probably be flagging.

There will hopefully be some nibbles for those who get involved, but please feel free to bring what ever you feel could make the day a fun event.  We may even fire up the BBQ towards the end of the day.

Thank you for your support. We hope the days goes well and we raise some funds for a great cause.
