The Winner of the Alan White Memorial Doubles Tournament which took place on Sunday, 14 August 2022, was Richard Latham. Zelie Bailes was Runner Up. Congratulations to both.

Thanks to everyone who took part. And a special thanks to Mark Janson for providing some refreshing grapes, ice lollies and ice blocks to help everyone stay cool.  For the first time in ages, players benefited from unexpectedly cloudy conditions and occasional occurrence of the much missed Shinfield Breeze.

Our next Sunday event will be the club championship finals on the afternoons of September 5th (Ladies and Mens Doubles plate and trophy finals) and 11th (Singles and Mixed Doubles plate and trophy finals).  Do please try to attend to watch our best players strutting their stuff as well as enjoying a general get together, before the winter.

Don’t forget that we have one further Trophy Tournament this autumn, with the Win Miles cup being contested on October 2nd.  This as always is open to all members aged 14 and above.  Registration will be organised by Tony in the previous week.
