We were honoured and very proud to win the Tennis Shropshire award for the 2023 Club of the
Year.

    The award was presented to our Chairman, Stephen Pearce, at the
    awards ceremony by Keith Smith, President of Tennis Shropshire.

This award recognises the development and growth of the club over the
last few years including:

• Doubling of membership since the Covid pandemic
• Reducing subscription costs to make tennis more accessible
• Attracting younger players
• Improvements to deliver high quality tennis facilities
• Growing junior program
• Active coaching program run by High 5 Tennis for juniors and adults
• Charity work – League of Friends Tournament, donations to Ukraine, disability tennis program.
• Contribution to Shropshire tennis
