We run a competitive all year-round ladder league for singles, which is a great way to play more tennis and meet other members. We currently use a 3rd party app, Sportch, to operate our ladder.

Here's how to join (only for full members):

1. Once you are a full member of the club, here's how to join:
2. Download the free "Sportch" app from the app store
3. Open the app and tap "Sign Up"
4. During registration please ensure to do the following 2 things:
   a)Select "London Brent" as location;
   b) Select "South Hampstead Tennis Club" as club

Club social play takes priority over ladder matches on club nights (e.g. Wednesday evenings, Saturday and Sunday after 3pm). An hour and a half is usually comfortably enough time to play a match (including a 10 minute knock up).

Playing your matches

Players play best of 3 matches. This can either be:

• Best of 3 sets, with each set first to 4 games, with tie-break at 4-4
• Best of 3 sets with each set first to 6 games, with tie-break at 6-6
• Best of 3 sets with either of the formats above, with a championship tie-break (first to 10) instead of the 3rd set

Recording your match results

After the match, you simply input you score into the Sportch app, and it will do the rest for you.
