A brilliant day of tennis at St John’s, thank you to everyone who came along to play, support, or help out. Despite a few outbursts of rain, all the matches got played and the day ended in glorious sunshine. The bar was open, selling bottles of champagne for the first time, and all enjoyed the delicious BBQ sausages, accompanied by fried onions and grilled courgettes, served in brioche buns. The onlookers were treated to some nailbiting tennis, accompanied by Steve Gable's guitar playing (soft enough not to upset the players!). There was also tombola and two stalls: Rosie Gable's jewellery and a new stall selling natural cosmetic products. Everyone agreed it was a great day!
