We have been awarded a prestigious title from Kent LTA.....

ST JOHN'S IS......... KENT TENNIS CLUB OF THE YEAR!!!!!

In the past St. John's might not even have been seen as the top tennis club in Tunbridge Wells. Today it is the top tennis club in the whole of the County of Kent!

In January 2021, in a virtual ceremony, St. John's will be made the Lawn Tennis Association's Kent Club of the Year for 2020. 

This has been a fantastic team effort from our 350 senior and junior members and we all feel quite overwhelmed and more than a little emotional at being selected for such a prestigious award.

The club had taken over the adjacent bowling green when that section closed down. During the first lockcdown volunteers set about turning the area into two grass courts to add to the existing 4 all-weather floodlit courts. This was described by the LTA as an "amazing achievement".

Thank you to all of those very special and hardworking volunteers who particularly went above and beyond the call of duty, you helped us achieve this award.
