Overview of the Swanmore competitive tennis season summer 2024

The various Swanmore teams performed admirably in their various leagues across the 2024 summer season. There was elation and disappointment with some of our teams hitting top spot in some leagues, but propping up others at the foot of the table. Well done to all who played and thank you.


East Hants Summer Leagues 2024
Men's Doubles Team Division 1
Swanmore men ended the seasons in a creditable third place behind Steep A who topped the division.

Women's Doubles A Team Division 1
Our ladies first team only lost two of their 10 matches to finish second behind Steep A.

Women's Doubles B Team Division 2
Swanmore ladies second string matched the performance of the A team losing just 2 matches. They also finished in second place. Haslemere B emerged as division winners.

Mixed Doubles A Team Division 1
In a nail-biting end to the swan, our Mixed A team pipped Steep A Mixed to the league title by just one point.

Mixed Doubles B Team Division 2
Anything our A team can do, so can our Mixed B team it seems They ended the season in first place ahead of Graffham A.


SLTA – Apsley League

Swanmore A - Premier Division. A tough league and our A team did well to preserve their place in the league to have another go next year.

Swanmore B - Division 1. Our second strong had a challenging season and finished propping the league up in last place.

Swanmore C - Division 2. Well done to the third team. The missed out on promotion by a single point. Above them were South Hants A and David Lloyd Soton B.

Swanmore D - Division 4. Our fourth team averaged a point a match which left them mid table at the season's end.


Portsmouth & District LTA Summer 2024 Masters League

Women's Doubles Division 1. Won four lost three in a competitive league saw our ladies masters first mixed team finish mid table.

Men's Doubles Team Division 1. Our men's first string absolutely stormed the league losing just once to Lee who finished in second six points behind Swanmore.

Mixed Doubles A Team Division 1. Winning three losing three saw us placed mid table behind a very strong Wellow team who topped the league.

Mixed Doubles B Team Division 2. A difficult season for the second team saw them win just two from seven, leaving them in last place.
