Swanmore Lawn Tennis Club has been active in the local community and had a stall at the Droxford Country Fair  on  3 June 2023 and what a wonderful day it turned out to be. 

The sun was shining, and the visitors were treated to a fun filled afternoon with plenty to do for all the family, including our own ‘get the ball in the bucket’ game.  We also had an opportunity to talk to people interested in tennis and promote the club with our ‘one day only’ offer.  We’re very pleased that 8 new people joined the club on the day.

It's a real treat to be part of this fair, that balances traditional games with a marquee of reptiles, a fun dog show, beautifully curated rare cars, an art show of local artists, and amazing cakes and coffee sold in Wilfrid’s, the local church café. These were just a few of the activities on offer.

The day for Swanmore tennis would not have been a success without the help of so many members before and on the day.  A particular shout out to Stuart Docherty, who made our game, Cathy Guerin who painted it for us, Mike Schwarz who produced the banners and Mandy White, who put in a full day’s shift helping me to set up and down.
