Rules for Players using Tattenhall Tennis Club Courts from 13 May 2020
Please see the LTA Website (LTA.Org.UK) for further guidance to players during the Covid-19 Pandemic. It is a condition of using these courts that you have read the LTA guidance and abide by the LTA guidance and the following Court Rules.
Courts are available to use by Tennis Club Members (Free) and Non-Members (£10/court/hour) and should be booked online via clubspark.lta.org.uk/tattenhalltennisclub (cash payments on the day are not permitted) and a buffer period of 15 minutes should be allowed between bookings.
If a player or anyone in players household is unwell or has symptoms of Covid-19 they must not use the courts for at least 14 days.
Players or players with household members that fall into high risk categories should not use the courts until advised as no longer being high risk by the Government.
A maximum of 2 players per court for Singles play - with 1 player from 2 separate households, 1 at each end, or
A maximum of 2 players from the same household, 1 at each end.
Up to 4 players from the same household playing doubles is permitted, 2 at each end.
Coaching sessions are limited to 1 to 1 coaching per court. Spectators / parents / guardians are not
permitted on the courts and must remain in the car park or outside the perimeter fence and maintain
a minimum of 2m distance at all times.
Players and coaches must socially distance (remain a minimum of 2m apart) at ALL times.
Players must wash hands using soap & water for a minimum of 20 seconds when leaving home to
use the courts and once returning home after using the courts (if this is not possible use a hand
sanitiser). All households must bring a hand sanitiser
Do not share equipment (rackets, drinks bottles etc.) with other players and wipe down before and
after use.
if you need to cough or sneeze use a tissue or your upper sleeve to cover your face. Catch it, Bin it,

Mark the balls you are using with your initials so they can easily be identified.
If one of our balls goes on to the next court please remain on your court if someone else is using the adjacent court and they should return the ball to you with their racket (and not use their hands). Vice
versa if their ball comes onto your court.
Nets should already be set at the correct height so you must not adjust them – where this is not the
case, use gloves to adjust.
Don’t change ends unless you are playing a match, in which case go around the net at opposite
sides and remain a minimum of 2m apart at all times.
No physical contact such as hand shaking or high fives at any time.
Minimise what you bring and take on court, and ensure all your belongings are taken away with you
from the courts once you finish.
When you arrive to use a court please wait well away (minimum 2 metres back from the entrance
gate) until players have vacated the court.
Ensure you vacate your court a minute or two before the end of your booking to allow time to exit (a
minimum of 2 metres from any other person) before allowing anyone waiting to come on court.
If you are waiting to go on Court 2 and players are still using Court 1, wait for them to signal for you
to cross to your court.
Avoid touching the court gate on entry / exit (wear gloves ideally). You must not touch the net, net
posts, winder, fencing and benches.
PLEASE ALSO NOTE: The Clubhouse is closed so there is no access to toilets or First Aid on site. In emergencies and if appropriate there is a defibrillator kept at the Spar on the High St.
