We're recruiting: Lead Coach @ Llantrisant Tennis Club & Pentyrch Tennis Club

Tennis Squad are seeking a dynamic and committed Lead Coach to help develop our club programmes. Follow in the path of our successful team, if you’re passionate and keen to develop your coaching career this could be for you!

Your primary role will be the Lead Coach for Tennis Squad activities at Llantrisant Tennis Club and Pentyrch Tennis Clubs, both 3-court floodlit venues with a total 5-days of group coaching activities currently in place. You will be responsible for the delivery of on-site group coaching activities from Blue to Teen as well as seasonal Adult Beginner programmes to attract new members to the clubs.

To help develop the playing standard at the clubs, you should also aspire to design and deliver fee-earning 1-1 lessons, match-play sessions and team training activities. As well as support and mentoring  from a Tennis Squad Director, you’ll have Tennis Assistants/Leaders to support your activities who you will be expected to manage on-site.

Further opportunities to develop your coaching business with Tennis Squad are also available through our indoor facility at Ocean Park Cardiff, not-for-profit Cardiff Stars disability programmes and tennis racket restringing.

We are seeking someone who is reliable, committed, and enthusiastic about coaching; these are non-negotiables so if you find yourself clock-watching on court please don’t apply! But if you believe you have these traits, we want to speak to you. Any on-court areas to progress can be developed over the time thanks to the support of our wider team.

As well as the appropriate LTA qualification (min Level 3) and accreditation in place or in progress, you will have a full UK driving license with access to a car and possess basic IT skills (you will be expected to check and reply to email regularly).

To apply, please email admin@tennissquad.net with a brief CV and a covering letter detailing your goals in tennis and suitability for the role. An informal chat will then be held with shortlisted candidates with both our Director and a member of the senior team via Zoom.

The successful candidate will be able to commence activity with us when Welsh lock-down measures permit, although this can be delayed for the right coach.
