The Men's Aegon team took on Redhill on a clear sunny day at Thames Ditton LTC.  Ollie Hong and Paul Adams both enjoyed relatively easy victories at one and two whilst Jezza Suckling went down to their third player in straight sets.  Veteran Jerry Sharp kept his younger and fitter opponent on court for over an hour and half but eventually succumbed 5-7 1-6.  In the doubles Ollie and Paul duly won and captain Luke Steel stepped in to partner Jezza but could not eek out a victory.  So to the shoot-out; two champions tie break singles and both were nip and tuck affairs with Ollie coming through 10-8 and Jezza reversing his singles score to triumph 10-7 against the same opponent with some superb tennis including one exquisite topskin backhand lob at a critical point.  So a 7-6 match result and thanks to Redhill for a decent match played in a good spirit.
