What a week that has been!  Our contractors have all pulled together this last week with a gargantuan effort to get the club ready for its opening weekend...

With only a day to spare, the court fitters completed the glazing of courts 1 and 2 leaving barely a moment for the turf to be laid.  Although conditions weren't ideal, the team pulled through and got us 4 playable courts by the weekend which we were really grateful for.

We're also throwing the same level of gratitude at our electricians for managing to get us 4 functioning sets of floodlights for opening week allowing peak-time play.  The automation system for the gate access is still to come and we'll announce when this happens.

The groundworkers have managed to continue to work their magic, this time on the car park.  Transforming the front of the club into a set of nicely tarmaced parking spaces and returning the previous building site back into functioning car park as well.  Apart from a new padel club, its as if they were never there!

Then it was up to us to welcome Wetherby and the world to our new club.  We were thrilled with the response on both our Saturday Ladies Festival of Padel and Sundays Open Day.  We met lots of new people as well as plenty of familiar faces and the weather held out long enough for us to be able to play padel all weekend.  It was fantastic to see so many people enjoying the courts, ranging from experienced players to absolute beginners.  Padel really is a social sport and we saw that in spades this weekend.
