Shropshire League 2025

The Shropshire Summer Ladies and Men's Doubles Leagues have now finished. 

Our ladies team, having been promoted to Division 3, played 8 matches winning 4 and losing 4. The team finished 6th in the division and may avoid relegation! 11 ladies played in the team, with one player being in the top 20 players in the division.

 

The men's 1st team were in Division 5N, and played 9 matches, winning 7 and losing 2. The team finished 2nd in the division and will be promoted to Division 4N. 9 men played in the team, with 3 being in the top 20 players in the division.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The men's 2nd team were in Division 6N, and played 9 matches, winning 4 drawing 3 and losing 2. The team finished 4th in the division. 7 men played for the team, with 3 players in the top 20 in the division.

 

 

 

 

 

The men’s 3rd Team, affectionately known as “The Vets”, have now completed all their fixtures and finished 2nd in Division 7, an excellent outcome for the first venture in the leagues with 6 players in the top 20 of the division.

 

Thanks to the players of all four teams for volunteering their time and for their contributions by way of match fees – which help cover the cost of match balls and floodlights - travelling costs and providing the after-match refreshments.

 

Many thanks also to the WTC Teams Captain, Christine, for her support to all four teams – home and away – and her enthusiasm and commitment.

 

Thanks to all players who represented the club this season and to those who came to support the teams.

 

The Autumn Mixed Doubles League has now started, we have entered 1 team. The team are in Division 5N and will play 7 matches.
