Coaching for Adults

Coaching programme

Coaching programmes for adults are held on Tuesday evenings  at the following times

  • 6-7pm Adult Coaching (Beginners / Rusty rackets)
  • 7-8pm: Adult Coaching (Rusty Rackets/Intermediate)

Coaching programs are based on school half-terms and usually comprise 6 or 7 sessions depending on the length of each school half-term. There are usually two 6/7 week coaching prgrams in a school term.

Tennis is a game you can play all year round and coaching continues all throughout the year  - even in Winter and early spring when the weather allows.

Inclusivity

Tennis is a game that can be adapted for any age and ability. We will do our best to make any session inclusive. If you have any concerns or requirments please get in touch. We also have asports wheelchair available with notice.

Joining a Programme

You can join a programme at any time throughout the year. If you've never been to a session before, please come along and try it out first. If you don't have a racket we can lend you one. All you need to do is turn up and hopefully have some fun.

If you get in touch via liss.tennis@gmail.com we will look out for you and try and make you welcome.

Communication with the Club and Coach

The club and coach have created a WhatsApp group to  help organise courses and keep participants informed. This is especially important if a session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled at the last minute due to the weather . Please ask the coach to add you the group. You can also contact the club directly via liss.tennis@gmail.com

Cancelled Sessions and Credits

Coaching is run all year round including through winter and early spring. Sessions are however, occassionally cancelled due to the weather - rain and  deep frosts can  make the courts unplayable. If a session in a program is cancelled, the coach will notify participants through the WhatsApp group and the price of the cancelled session will be creditied to accounts.

There is a short video on coaching credits below from the perspective of coach and participant including how to claim any credits that have been applied (1 minunute 40 seconds in)
