Coaching
- Do I need to be a member of Ongar Tennis Club to receive coaching?
You do not need to be a member to access coaching at Ongar Tennis Club.  The best way to book coaching is to get in touch with our coach directly to discuss what you'd like to get out of coaching to find the right group or you can chose private lessons. See our contacts page for the coaches contact details.
- Do I need to bring my own equipment?
For Junior coaching racquets are provided.  For adults, most members play with their own racquets, however, if you book coaching to see if tennis is for you or to get back into tennis after a break the coach will have a selection of racquets you can use.
- What do I need to wear?
Appropriate sports clothing and trainers. It is advisable to bring a rain coat / jacket as we do play in the rain if it's safe to do so
- Will the Coach call me if a lesson is cancelled?
For junior coaching, regardless of weather conditions, the decision is made at the courts. If a group lesson is cancelled, it will be added on to the following term. For adult coaching we have a club whatsapp group where the coach gages numbers for the group lessons and will give notice of any cancellation due to bad weather conditions.
If I need to cancel a private lesson, how much notice do I need to give?
You need to give a at least 12 hours notice (unless in case of an emergency) or the full fee will apply
