Facilities

 Eight All-Weather Courts

At WLTC we have eight courts which are playable  all year round and have carpet based coverings which provide a good consistent bounce and are safe to run on, even in wet or cold conditions.

The surface is also much more comfortable to play on and more forgiving on the knees than hard tarmac courts which can often lead to joint injuries and pain.

New Courts

We're really pleased with our four new courts which were laid in December 2018, after we received grants from Enovert Community Trust and Ibstock Enovert Trust.

They have been playing well from the word go and are proving popular with our members.

They were officially opened by Wimbledon star Marcus Willis in April 2019.

 New Floodlights

As well as having new court surfaces, our four recently upgraded courts now have floodlighting to match the rest of the club's facilities.

The light quality is superb for playing tennis throughout the year and allows us to play up to 11pm at night on all eight courts.

The floodlighting at WLTC is now amongst the best in the area.

Two Realistic Artificial Clay Courts

As well as having synthetic grass courts, WLTC boast two artificial clay courts, simulating the French Open courts of Roland Garros.

These courts have proved to be extremely popular since they were opened in 2014 and provide an alternative surface on which to play.

Like the other courts, these are designed to be played on in all conditions and have consistent bounce qualitities.
