Fundraising

As a small community based Club we keep our membership fees at a low level to ensure tennis is affordable to most people.

However, it is also important that we ensure that our courts, floodlights and Clubhouse are maintained  to a high standard and therefore the Club sets aside monies each year into a "sinking fund" to help our long term sustainability.  For example, courts require resurfacing every ten years and floodlights need replacing every 15/20 years dependent on use.

Our next major project is to upgrade and renew the Club's floodlights.

To supplement our income of membership fees it is important that we raise funds through other activities and we invite our members and friends to do what they can to achieve our objectives of being an attractive, well managed Club.

Fundraising Initiatives

  • Recycling Tennis Balls: We send used tennis balls to an organisation that recycles the balls and donates them to charitable organisations, like NSPCC, Barnardo's, Save the Children, RSPCA, etc. and, in return, the Cub receives 20p per ball.
  • Easyfundraising: For those who do their shopping on-line then why not use "Easyfundraising"  which links to over 4,000 leading retail sites, including Amazon, Go Outdoors, BT, Currys/PC World and John Lewis. Shop as usual and every time there is a purchase the Club will receive a cashback donation based on the % you have spent. So easy and at no cost to the Club or its members. • Donations: Like any organisation we always welcome and appreciate any size of donation. As Camvale is registered as a "Community Amateur Sports Club" (CASC) we are able to claim Gift Aid if the donor is a UK taxpayer. Any person wishing to make a donation should contact the Club's Treasurer, Hugh Weeks.
