Alex started playing tennis when he was 5. He was a top junior and represented Surrey until he was 16. Selected to train at The All England Club and Queens Club. After completing his A levels he went to Art College. However, when he was 20, he rediscovered his passion for tennis and became a tennis coach at David Lloyd Raynes Park. After spending 4 years at David Lloyd he coached at The Hampshire Club in Southampton before coming to The Bourne Club. During over 15 years of coaching Alex has taught all ages and standards, including National and County juniors.

James Cooles

Assistant Head Professional

James started playing tennis at the age of 10 years and has competed in many tournaments and competitions around the south. James' coaching career started at his local club in Wrecclesham, assisting the head coach which then led to him being offered a coaching apprenticeship in the Haslemere area where he worked for nearly 5 years. James has coached a wide range of adults and juniors at a variety of clubs and schools, including two u18 county players. He likes to create a challenging and creative experience for his players while still applying an element of fun for everyone.

Adam Sturt

Tennis Coach

Adam has been a member at the Bourne for over 10 years. During this time he has regularly represented the first teams for Mixed, Mens and national Club League Competition.

Adam is based at the Bourne Club but also teaches at the Four Seasons Hotel in Hampshire. Adam enjoys helping develop beginners and more social Club players as well as Mini Red tennis. He is a qualified ABTO referee and runs LTA Sanctioned Tournaments at the Club as well as social tournaments for adults.

Adam has been helping with the junior programme at the Club for over 5 years from Mini Tennis to U/18 players.

Justin Worthy

Tennis Coach

Justin started playing tennis from the age of 4 and he is now 17, he has competed in many tournaments over the years. Including playing for The Bourne Club in County/National leagues. He recently passed his LTA Level 3 Club Coach Qualification hoping to go further in his coaching career as he progresses. Justin is available for weekend private coaching.
