Tennis courts reopen

Following the announcement from the Scottish Government of phase 1 easing of lockdown measures, tennis can resume from tomorrow, Friday 29th May, provided physical distancing is followed. We have anticipated this announcement and the courts will be ready to play on from tomorrow morning.

It is VITAL that we all adhere to the distancing rules and guidelines which have been set by the LTA and Tennis Scotland. Detailed guidance is available here: https://www.lta.org.uk/globalassets/news/2020/guidance-for-tennis-venues--players-in-scotland---covid-19.pdf

There will be posters up at the courts and also see the attached image which summarises the key points. Look out for updates on resumption of group coaching and other activities etc.

We will be installing a hand sanitiser dispenser at the courts -  please santise your hands upon entry and exit.

We will not initially be operating a booking system for the courts, but we have the facility to do this if it become necessary.

We have reduced the cost of annual membership to reflect the loss of some of the membership year while the courts were closed. It is now £40 for family membership, £20 for individual adult membership and £10 for individual junior membership.

To avoid unnecessary contact with handling forms and cheques etc, please apply and pay for membership using the new online system on the club website: https://clubspark.lta.org.uk/AbernethyTennisClub/Membership/Join

At the end of the process when payment has been made you will be sent the current code for the combination lock. If you have any problems with processing your membership application please get in touch at abernethytennis@gmail.com

Lets enjoy getting back to playing tennis at long last! To ensure we can all continue to do so safely please FOLLOW THE RULES!
