It’s been a long time coming but finally last weekend ALTC, your local tennis club, was able to open its two new courts.  This brings the total to eight, making it the largest club in the county outside Oxford.

We were delighted to welcome our MP, Layla Moran, to the club and she gave delightfully encouraging words to the assembled members and visitors. Tennis is one of her passions and she enjoyed a few hits with our club chairman, Jason Oliver.

The club invited the public to their open afternoon to try out tennis in a range of activities with our club coaches: Tennis Express, Cardio (keep fit with tennis), Junior mini-coaching sessions (all ages from 3+) and many general free play opportunities.

Our message to Abingdon and the surrounding area is that we are a friendly and welcoming club, with great facilities including floodlights for year round play. Do come along and give us a go, any time.
