Getting Ready to Restart Tennis

The Scottish government published a framework for Covid-19 decision making including a "Route Map through and out of the crisis" on 21st May. This indicated that tennis may be an activity which could re-start, with limitations, as part of moving to Stage 1 of the route map. On 22nd May, Tennis Scotand published "Guidance for Tennis Venues and Players in Scotland Covid-19: Return to Restricted Play". This provides more detailed advice on how clubs and players may start to return to playing tennis, once allowed by the Scottish government, whilst minimising the risks of Covid-19 restrictions. Aboyne Tennis Club has been developing location specific requirements, based on the TS document, which will be shared with club members once finalised. It is hoped that tennis may re-start before end May, depending on on the details of a Scottish government announcement, expected on 28th May.
