A warm welcome to all Aboyne Tennis Club members.
Whilst the weather hasn't been stellar in the last week, we hope that everybody is getting a chance to get on the court.
We have two new members on our committee. Sham Rahman takes over from Keren Beveridge as our treasurer and Julie Mitchell-Mehta has a new role, communications focal point. Keren has kindly agreed to stay on as Ladies' Captain. Contact details (and photos) for all our committee members can be found on this website under "Committee"
Our calendar (also on this site) details club competition and social events and also includes the various organised tennis sessions we currently have running. We encourage everyone to come along for club tennis (adults and juniors) where you can meet or make friends in a relaxed atmosphere.
We are currently in the process of recruiting a new club coach. In the meantime there are junior tennis activities in place and we are also working with the regional tennis association (NESLTA) to put on additional performance coaching sessions. All details can be found on the junior section of this website.
Thankyou to all members who filled in our club survey at the start of the year. We will be taking on all feedback and incorporating it into our long term plans, a report on which will be issued mid year (fingers crossed !)
As always we need to make sure that we look after the safety and wellbeing of our members. We have fire safety procedures in place and the courts are always a safe refuge. You can exit the courts through the padlocked gate with the same code as the main door. Members have already been emailed the new code, but it is also included in any court booking confirmation. If you have any safeguarding issues you can contact Craig Mitchell, our welfare officer, who will treat any matter raised with complete confidentiality.
We look forward to seeing you all on court
