Internal Events
These are internal members only competitions. These competions are the first step on the competitive ladders.
- Match Weeks: for those in our club coaching programmes , we hold a Match Week at the end of each term which is included in your coaching fee. This fun team-based format helps you to learn the rules & develop your skills from coaching.
- Themed Events: Easter Egg Cup/ Pumpkin Cup to name a few. Fun, faced paced events with great prizes.
- Team Challenge Festivals: these run in the school holidays and provide an opportunity for players to develop their skills in an informal team environment against others from the coaching programme.
- Club Championships: An annual club event. Its the big one. You need to be a club member to access these.
Team Tennis
For the more advanced player, there are plenty of opportunities to compete as part of one of our club teams.
In the summer, mens and ladies doubles teams compete weekly in the South Wales inter-club leagues. They are social as well as competitive events, usually followed by post match teas, giving you the opportuntity to get to know players of similar standards throughout the region. We also have junior teams in age groups from 8 and under to 18 and under.

External Events
These are competitions which located around South Wales and are open for all to enter.
- What is my LTA age-group?: Junior competition age groups are based on your Year of Birth, and you can find yours HERE
- How do I find and enter open events?: Firstly, you need a British Tennis Compete Membership, which most regular players have and is free of charge from the LTA. Next, visit the LTA Competition Search - filter your age group, grade of tournaments you are seeking and distance willing to travel. Then enter online!
- What Grade should I play?: Grades run from 7 to 1 and you can find descriptions HERE. Seek advice from your coach when starting out.
