Following the AGM the committee have met members from the coaching team to agree the structure to take our coaching programme forward and we are pleased to announce that Peter Farthing has now been appointed as Head Coach and as such will hold overall responsibility for all of the coaching at the Club.

For those of you who don't know, Pete first came to Amherst as a Junior and has been a member and supporter of Amherst ever since. He is an LTA Level 4 Accredited Plus Coach and has a wealth of experience in working with the coaches that are and have been at Amherst.

We also would like to take this opportunity to thank all of the coaches at the Club for their contributions and success in running our coaching programme for the last few years. We have seen many changes to our committee, changes to the LTA requirements for Clubs, and also had to navigate through the Covid rules and regulations. This decision is in no way a reflection of how we view any individual in the coaching team, just a decision taken to define the structure going forward and we very much hope, as does Pete, that the existing members of the coaching team will remain involved in our coaching programme.

Pete is currently collecting and discussing ideas with the members of the coaching team, together with getting feedback from parents and members so he will be in touch with us all.
