MIXED 2 SECURE BACK TO BACK LEAGUE WINS 

An exciting, tense and frankly nail-biting winter season ended well for the Mixed 2 team with a win over Bovingdon to secure the Mixed doubles Division 6 title. Going into the last couple of matches there were 4 teams still in contention and it came right down to the wire. Aston Park played leaders Bovingdon in the final match of the season needing a win to clinch the title. In a tense match Pete Abdeye & Mollie Twitchell (making her Mixed 2 debut) played brilliantly and managed to win all 4 sets against tough opposition. Andy & Anna fought hard and came back from 5-3 down to win the crucial match winning set on a tie break.

A great feeling for the Mixed 2 squad (Pete Abdeye, Anne Green, Mark & Kerry Pendelbury, Anna Fryer, Sue Andrews, JP Choi, Andy May and Mollie Twitchell) to win back to back league titles. An amazing achievement from a great squad, massive thanks to you all from your captain.
