Austwick Tennis Club

Friendly Austwick Tennis Club is set in a beautiful location at the southern end of the Yorkshire Dales National Park and offers social and competitive tennis for all levels of ability on our two newly refurbished courts.

Visitors and members’ Guests

The courts may be booked at the rate of £10 for two hours per court. Access to the courts can be arranged with a committee member or by request at Austwick Village Stores.

Members’ guests may play with a member at a cost of £5 per session. Members are expected to notify the treasurer when they have played with a guest and make the relevant payment.

Social Tennis

Mon-Fries for beginners and those seeking activity - Monday and Friday mornings between 10am and noon. If interested just come along or ring Mike Smith 07763319207.

Intermediate level social sessions on Thursday afternoons between 1pm and 3pm and on Sunday mornings between 10am and noon. Please come along. Everyone is welcome.

Indoor tennis – at the Lunesdale Centre, Kirkby Lonsdale on Saturday afternoons between September and March in winter.

Coaching

The Club aims to organise coaching sessions for juniors and adults during the summer months on Tuesday evenings. Information will be emailed to members and advertised on the club’s website

League Tennis

Summer:

We currently have two mixed doubles teams in the Wharfedale League, and a Ladies’ doubles and Mens’ doubles Team in the Bradford Parks League.

Wharfedale League matches are played weekday evenings from 6.15pm.

Winter:

We have two teams in the Lancaster and Morecambe Vets League (over 50yrs).

Winter Vets matches are played mid-week afternoons starting at 1pm.
