Coaching Programme

PLEASE NOTE: YOU MUST BE A CLUB MEMBER IF YOU WANT TO JOIN THE COACHING PROGRAMME

We are fortunate to have an internationally experienced professional LTA Accredited Level 4 coach at our village club. Tim Brealey has been our club coach for nine years and more than half the membership enjoys the coaching that we offer here. Tim is experienced in junior, adult and disability coaching from beginner to county and national level.

Tim coaches juniors from age 4, and also has an extremely popular adult coaching programme. Non-members are welcome to come along for a free trial session after which we will ask you to join the club if you want to join one of Tim's regular coaching programmes. Please come along and give it a try whether you are a complete beginner, perhaps feeling a bit rusty, or an experienced player. Tim is also available for private one-to-one coaching sessions.

Please see below for our current regular coaching days and times and contact Tim on 07972 895975 or email timbrealey@yahoo.co.uk for more information and to book.

A NOTE ON BALANCE OF PLAY BETWEEN COACHING AND MEMBERS' BOOKINGS

With one popular village  court we want to provide access to everyone in our community who wants to play. Well over half our members take advantage of coaching at the club, and it is important that we achieve a fair balance of play between coaching sessions and members' bookings.  During British Summer Time when the court is at its most popular, we are limiting coaching to 2 evenings a week and ring-fencing 5 full evenings (Mon, Tues, Friday, Sat & Sun) and the afternoon of weekend days for members' bookings. If coaching has to be cancelled due to rain, you will sometimes see coaching sessions happening at different times.

We hope that our new online booking system will give much better visibility and make it easy for everyone to book and play on the court. If you have any comments or concerns regarding the balance of play, or anything else regarding the use of the court, please contact our club chair, Mike on 07971 976707.
