Accidents at the Club
Accidents at the Club
- First Aid Kit. There is a First Aid Kit in the green box in the entrance hall. This should be adequate for most minor injuries. Further first aid supplies are also available in the white box on top of the fridge in the kitchen store room. Team Captains and the Club Coaches have access to the store room in case of need.
- First Aiders. All the Club Coaches are qualified First Aiders.
- Serious accidents. In the event of a serious accident an ambulance should be called by dialling 999. A defibrillator is available outside the pavilion in case of need.
- Reporting of accidents. It is important that all accidents at the Club are reported, and accident report forms are available in the entrance hall. It is usual for the injured party to complete the form themselves but in cases of severe injury another Club member may complete it on their behalf. After completion the tear out form should be removed and sent to Zana Fletcher, Club Secretary.
- Accidents resulting in hospitalisation more than 24 hours. Serious accidents resulting in a hospital admittance need to be reported to our insurers and in some cases to the Health & Safety Executive. It is, therefore, imperative that all serious accidents are reported promptly (ideally by telephone) to Zana Fletcher, Club Secretary so that the matter can be correctly followed through.
