Waitrose Barry welcomed the Barry Community Tennis Club Crew for a fundraising bag pack today, to raise funds towards the club's redevelopment, specifically the installation of floodlights so that we can offer year-round coaching provision. Players and their families (most of them wearing the new club kit) assisted shoppers with their packing if required, and chatted with customers about the club programme and how much they enjoy tennis.

Overall, the event raised £253.19 for the club, so thanks to Waitrose Barry customers for their generosity. The greatest success of the day, however, was linking with the wider community and demonstrating that, as a club we want to welcome anyone from our town and its environs to join us and enjoy the sport of tennis, irrespective of age or ability.
