Our Ladies team have enjoyed a successful Winter Season in the Cymru Kitchens Winter Doubles League, Division 8.

In only their second winter season since the club formed, our ladies fulfilled 8 out of their 10 fixtures (the 2 unfulfilled fixtures were due to shortage of players and bad weather preventing reschuedling). Of those 8 fixtures that were played, BarryCTC secured 5 fixture wins including a total of 17 match wins to 15 losses. An impressive achievement for such a fledgling club.

Team captain, Penny Mickelsen, partnered with Alison Williams for all 8 of the fixtures, and their growing confidence as a pair shone through with an impressive 13 match wins from 16.

Over the course of the season it was great to see new players joining the team and playing alongside ladies who had played for BarryCTC in the previous winter and summer leagues, and it is clear that the club's Ladies team has a promising future.
