'Thank you to everyone who took part in the Veterans tournament and provided refreshments.  Colin brought along a Colin the Caterpillar birthday cake and we sang Happy Birthday to both him and Jane Beresford. 

The tournament was played American style where you kept your same partner for the tournament but played 4 games with that person and then swapped and played 4 games against in each round.  We were extremely lucky with the weather and 15 people competed.  Heather would like it to be known that she was not the lowest scorer.  At 83 yrs she is amazing and played some good tennis.

In the final Ian Crichton and Jane Summers beat Derek McMullan and Meg Wilkinson.  As the oldest winner Ian gets to take the trophy home.
