Hi All,

I expect everyone is looking forward to some warmer weather and to getting back on court again. In the meantime there are a few things on which I can bring you up to date.

Clubhouse Update

As you know the NHS extended its renting of the clubhouse until 31st March. It is the intention of the committee not to extend the leasing beyond this date. The income from the leasing came at just the right time for the club and enabled us to carry out repairs and improvements which will be of benefit to the club in the long term.

Coaching

Our new coaching team led by Tom Luke is offering as full a programme as possible but when the clubhouse is freed up, Teddy Tennis will take place and will use the clubhouse in inclement weather. This is something to look forward to.  Currently, in addition to the weekly sessions, Tom is planning to hold a tennis camp in the upcoming half term. We do need some help in getting this information into local schools so could I ask any member who has a child in a local school to contact Tom and arrange to distribute some leaflets in the school. This would be much appreciated by the club.

Committee

We are always looking for new blood on the committee and currently we need a member to represent us on the Warrington League Committee. This involves attending league committee meetings and reporting back to the club committee. If you are interested please get in touch with me.

New Season and Membership Renewal

Again looking forward to the season, the Captains will be contacting everyone quite soon to ascertain the numbers of members who would like to play in the leagues. Currently we have 3 ladies’ and 5 men’s teams in the Warrington league and 1 ladies’ and 1 men’s team in the Bolton league.  If the demand is different from last year these numbers could be change so when asked, please reply promptly.

With the new season comes the new subscription. Membership fees are the same as last year and are due on 1st March. As usual, people paying before 31st of March will receive a discount. The new details will be up on Clubspark soon so keep an eye on it.
