Dear Members,
As the sun begins to set on an incredible summer season, we wanted to take a moment to celebrate the energy, achievements, and spirit that have made the past few months truly special at BBCTC.
🌟Promotion Success: Ladies 1st & 2nd Teams Shine: A huge congratulations to our Ladies 1st Team, who have earned a fantastic promotion into the Premier League – a tremendous accomplishment that reflects all their hard work, dedication, and teamwork throughout the season. We’re equally proud of our Ladies 2nd Team, who also achieved a brilliant promotion this summer. We're thrilled to see such momentum building across the women’s squads!
🏆Club Championships – Brilliant Participation A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came along to support – you created such an amazing atmosphere all day. Special thanks to those who baked cakes, prepared delicious salads, and of course our expert barbecuers and chefs who kept everyone so well fed. Congratulations to our fantastic winners: Matt D, Kunny, Jo B, Hilary B, Emma L, Harry M, Sam A, James L and Bryan C – what a line-up of great tennis and fantastic matches.
🍓Strawberry Tennis – Smashing Success for a Great Cause Our annual Strawberry Tennis Fundraiser was the sweetest yet – and not just because of the strawberries and cream! Thanks to your generosity and enthusiasm, we raised a record amount for Breast Cancer Now. A heartfelt thank you to everyone who played, donated, baked, or volunteered on the day. Together, we made a real difference.
⭐Captain’s Night – A Perfect Finale We brought the summer season to a close in style with Captain’s Night! Members enjoyed some absolutely delicious fish and chips 🍽️, a memorable quiz that kept us all on our toes 🧠, and of course, some well-deserved awards handed out to recognise the brilliant efforts of the season. A huge thank you to everyone who helped organise the event 👏 – and a big congratulations to both our men’s and ladies’ teams for such a successful season 🏆🎉. Here’s to another great year ahead!

● 🏅 Saturday, 15th November – Awards and Celebration Evening (New Venue to Be Announced) Join us to celebrate the season's achievements and enjoy a memorable evening with fellow members. More details coming soon.
● 🕵️ Murder Mystery Evening – Date To Be Confirmed Get ready for an evening of mystery and intrigue! Details to follow, but it promises to be a fun and unique social night.
● 🎄 Christmas Social – Details Coming Soon Always a highlight of the year – more information will follow soon.
● 🎾 Winter League Fixtures Starting shortly – keep an eye on team WhatsApp groups for match schedules.

❄️Looking Ahead: Winter, Vets and Daytime League
While summer may be winding down, the tennis certainly isn’t! We’re gearing up for the Winter League, where we’ll be fielding multiple teams across divisions and leagues. Good luck to all the Winter and Vets teams! For the first time, we are also entering a daytime league that many of our members will be competing in.
🎾 Thank You To all our players, captains, volunteers, and supporters – thank you for making this season one to remember. Let’s carry this energy forward as we head into winter and continue building a strong, welcoming tennis community.
